Re: [RC] How do I find a good horse personality/breed fit - jacobsjazzI have a wonderful gaited paint gelding. I lovingly call him my "troubled boy". Like all our other equines, he was purchased at an auction as a 4 year old. He was ridden through the sale, but it took me two years to get a saddle on him. H:e had major trust issues. It taught me a lot of patience. He is now, at 7 years old, one of the most steady trail horses I have. He is the first one to come to me in the pasture, will ride bareback with just a halter and lead. Is he perfect? No, but with him I have a bond I always dreamed about.
