Re: [RC] New incentive to enter 100's - Michael LewisNot sure exactly how I feel about this... Seems to me that a rider ought to commit. You don't get on a bull and get credit for a ride of less than 8 seconds... How will folks know if a given horse/rider team had planned to attempt a 100, but only completed 50? Might be important when considering the purchase of a "used horse". Was no attempt ever made to "race" the horse 100 miles, or did the horse repeatedly fail to cover that distance?Mike Bad spellers of the world, untie! ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Teeter" <johnt@xxxxxxxxx> To: "Barbara McCrary" <bigcreekranch@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Cc: "Angie Fura" <tracetribute@xxxxxxxxx>; <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>; <aercmembersforum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, October 07, 2008 8:01 AM Subject: Re: [RC] New incentive to enter 100's well, I've not allot of time right now, but will just note that the Very Virtual Endurance Rides basically follow this rule. Any miles that you ride count, so if you set out to ride a 100 and stop at 75, that's ok. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
