Many people don't have access to a trailer and are forced to leave large animals behind. Most food animals are also left behind. There are shelters set up across the state to accept both large and small animals. The shelter here at Texas A&M currently has over 150 horses. If people left their horses are there animal control officers that move the horses. I just can't help thinking about the poor animals that will suffer because people just don't care.
