RE: [RC] Wiring problem - Jannelle Wilde & Adam FalkIt is likely the 12 volt line on her truck is not constantly hot, but only ignition hot. That is a choice made by the original wiring person. It can save your batteries if it is not for a camper but for a trailer where you only want power to it while towing. A hitch shop or a local mechanic can fix it easily. She has Ford 350 D with a 7 prong plug. I have 2500 Dodge Gas with a 6 prong plug. I got a converter to make them workable together. Problemo. With the camper on my truck plugged in the lights on the camper work. With the camper on her truck the truck has to be running to use the lights in the camper. What could be wrong!!!??? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
