They seem to have a way to discourage such behavior ;-) . I know we're talking wild skunks, and this one came in as an orphaned baby a couple of years ago. When It was time, we released her here at the house as she is a great mouser and skunks usually only spray when they are threatened or frightened. "Daisy" has stuck around the house and is "fully-armed". She freely comes and goes through the cat door & has never sprayed. As you can see from these pictures, he has obviously adopted our dog as her "lover". We DO pet her and she has never bitten, but are still very wary just in case she were to pick up the rabies virus and become a carrier. http://s330.photobucket.com/albums/l416/wilsonwienerbean/?action=view¤t=daisy23.jpg http://s330.photobucket.com/albums/l416/wilsonwienerbean/?action=view¤t=WilsonDaisythumb12.jpg http://s330.photobucket.com/albums/l416/wilsonwienerbean/?action=view¤t=WilsonDaisythumblovers2.jpg Melissa Margetts Telluride Colorado /If you're not livin on the edge, you're takin up too much space!/ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
