[RC] PONYING AT EVENTS - Lynn White

Thanks for the heads up on that hole of the AERC rules. I will make sure that
if I ever put on a ride again that my ride flyer clealy states that ponying is
prohibited (except of course for ponying a horse back to camp because of a sick
injured rider). RM's have enough headaches besides increasing the odds of a
serious injury or a loose horse in cougar country. The best way to get a young
horse exposed to endurance is to take him to the trail ride of an event and
ride him in it. That way young horses can get used to the vetting process when
the rodeos are over while still being exposed to a more controlled amount of
hub-bub.
