[RC] Felt girth and sticky weeds - Tx Trigger

Only way I found was to not ride in the tall weeds and grass <grin> . I used
felt girths for years and years, but rode where we did not go through things
that stuck to the girth. You can try using a wire dog brush, but it will
slowly pull off the felt fibers. On the horse that I had who had Neoprene
issues, I changed to a leather girth, and that worked well on him. But, one
needs to take care of the leather to have it last. Good luck! Not all girth
types work well on all horses, and finding the right type to work for your
type of trails can be tricky! Right now we have those little sticktight seed
things that stick to everything. Horses legs, my shoes, girths. I pick them
off the horse at the trailhead, so I don't introduce them to my pasture.
