Re: [RC] Disqualified - Elizabeth WalkerBecause -- there is a difference between taking prudent preventive measures, and being oblivious with regard to having an unsafe horse; lots of horses will kick if they are crowded or run into from behind, but that is a different situation from having a horse that will deliberately try and *move over* to get in range of another horse, and kick to prevent them passing, etc. (while the rider doesn't have a clue...)Same for being unsafe to examine. Horses do get excited, and dance around, but that is different from a horse that tries to bite or kick the vet. For that matter, there is a line (probably different for each vet, and influenced by how hot, cold, and/or tired they are) as to how much "dancing around" is permissible. (I'm just glad I didn't get DQ'd for the time Caisson stepped on the scales, because I wasn't paying attention to where I stopped to dismount....)
