Wanted to mention my pony and I got a completion at the Fireworks 25  
ride last weekend, and I thank everyone who gave me tips/advice on the  
ride.   Going to the clinic beforehand helped because we were familiar  
with the first and last 5 miles of the course, which included the sand  
and the river.

And you know what?  Every horse/rider I ran into there were so polite  
and friendly, it was really wonderful.  And we lent someone duct- 
tape. :-)  Hope it helped.
