Taffy was not only a legend in your mind but for those of us that have read your stories.   For me it's mostly been through the archives.  I am sorry to hear of your loss Tori.  I know how deeply you cared for Taffy.  The concern you had for her well being - not to mention the quality of her life.  She is resting in peace.  And, Tori, she is waiting for you at Rainbow Bridge!  God Bless!

For those of you that enjoyed the Braveheart and Chickenshit stories of a few years ago I have decided to let you all know that my beloved Taffy aka The Cadillac was humanely euthanized last week.  The arthritis she was battling was too much for me to continue watching.  When she was no longer able to perform her job (carrying me around) combined with the copious amounts of Bute to keep her comfortable she became depressed and keeping her around to satisfy my need for her seemed cruel.  Just the thought of receiving a phone call telling me she was no longer able to get up was more than I could bear.  So, Lynne's and my adventures on our mares have come to an end.  Thanks to some magnificent photography on Lynne's part and some pretty fantastic/hilarious memories of mine, she will never be forgotten and she will forever remain the best damn ride I ever had.  RIP big girl.  Ragtime Taffy 3/2/1990 - 7/31/2008.
