I have had 2 T1-11 barns and love them, but I do have
metal roofs. I really love the one I have now even though it would not be
for everyone. I only have 2 horses. They have 4 acres of pasture
and so they are out and in the barn all the time. It is a 30 x 36 with an
opening about 30 feet wide on the one side. No stalls, but in the corner
there is a tack room (which is insulated). I store my hay along the back
wall and next to the tack room and run a gate a couple feet in front of the
hay. I also can store hay on top of the tack room since it does not go to the
ceiling. In the center of the barn, I have a hay feeder so I can
feed them several days worth of hay and it does not get wet. I also have
their water in the corner. I have also used panels in the hay area to
create a temporary stall if necessary, but have not needed it so took the
panels down. I have had no problems with the open arrangement even after
bringing in my second horse. My first horse is a bit of a lead mare that
is very possessive about her food and this arrangement gave them both room.
