One does not want to have a blowout on a trailer
tire. Trust me on that one. The leading cause of blowouts is tires
that heat up. The less air in the tire the more it heats up. Any
marginal increase in horse comfort from softer ride, is way overshadowed by an
increased chance of blowout.
The safest course is to purchase tires with a high
enough load rating (goes from A to E with E being the highest), and then inflate
to the maximum.
