RE: [RC] Surveys and what they mean - Michael MaulTruman's points are all true - especially about 1 in 20 being useful if the sample is really representative. But the responses to the AERC survey are not representative. They often are the people who really care about the results. It may also be that few members care about the wt divisions because they don't participate in the awards. This would mean that they didn't participate in the survey. I have the feeling though that even if a question such as LD miles vs endurance miles, requiring helmets, or no loose dogs in camp was asked - the response would still be in the 5% range. It might be a different 5% though... Mike =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
