These laws may have very specific requirements for them to apply and may require specific wording in a release form. It would be best to check whatever release you use with the law in your state. Florida's does I know.As a layer friend once told me the wavers or releases show intent and shows the person was warned and knowingly accepted the risk - however, a person cannot be forced to waive their right to sue and depending on the situation a judge could just throw it out, even if he doesn't it won't in and of itself get you our of a lawsuit.
