I think FEI and AERC both require that all animals withdrawn from competition be evaluated by the vets. I'm not sure what the results of those evaluations mean with respect to elimination or pull codes (respectively).
If a horse is pulled by the rider...does the horse still have to present to the vet check?? IN other words, if a rider realizes via heart monitor that the horse's pulse is not coming down as it should and the horse maybe has slowed way down and his pee is dark...knowing that the chances are good that he is going to be pulled by the vets for metabolics, the rider chooses to pull his horse himself to avoid the vet check?? Is that possible?
