RE: [RC] GPS 205/305 - Karen StandeferTerre, where do you ride? -----Original Message----- From: ridecamp-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ridecamp- owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of terre Sent: Saturday, January 19, 2008 1:19 PM To: Chrystal@xxxxxxxxxxxx; ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [RC] GPS 205/305 Probably. Almost certainly. Your hubby is partially correct in that the last generation of gps's (201/301) were lousy at getting signals in dense woods. I did a whole 50 mile ride that gps'd at 4 miles!!!--and that was the gravel road. My friend riding with a 205 got the whole trail. I use a 205 now and rarely 'drop' a signal, even riding that same trail. If it can't get a satellite signal, it can't give you speed/distance either. Can you borrow one to test? terre =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
