Well, you're right, I guess--we can't evaluate the "many Arabians you've ridden" to check out their conformation, way of going, shoeing, saddling, your horsemanship or balance. ?YOU don't feel steady on them, that's a lot more information.
You're right. ?You're not meant to have Arabs, it's as simple as that. ?I am not defensive about this breed more than any other breed, just about the broad generalization that implies they probably aren't suited for anyone because they probably all stumble. ?
I had TWHs for ten years, and would react here if someone claimed that those horses routinely stumbled too. ?Or any other breed where broad generalizations are made based on a limited sample without enough data to support such a conclusion.
And if you think that I "tore you down", wow. ?New to the 'net? ?Please explain how I "tore you down".

Twix (Lipizzan-Arab)
Celesteele (purebred Arab out on trial and probably sold)

So should I just ignore all of my observations of a specific breed just because they contradict what everyone else is telling me? I'm no sheep.
I've ridden many Arabs and I just didn't feel steady on them and didn't trust them to take me where I needed to go. I'd vastly prefer a mustang or a quarter horse. I'm just not an Arab person. More Arabs for you!
I'd say after all I've experienced I'm justified in making that generalization. It's only an opinion, after all. To each their own.
Any horse who is not shod correctly and/or is not paying attention can stumble. ?Amazing to think that you can't extrapolate the success that Arabians have in endurance riding to the fact that they can't do that and stumble.

Now I've got a rough-ridin' mustang with the most perfect legs and feet I've ever seen on any horse in my life!
You know, now that I think about it there are very few Arabians I've ridden that WEREN'T stumblers. Not sure I'll buy one ever again.
I am happy it worked out for you.? Not all are happy endings.? My mare started to stumble and fall down, and you never knew when it was going to happen.? It was too scary to be riding in the high mountains in WA state.? She now lives in a once a month riding home being treated like a princess, just like she was at my place.? I only had so much money for horses.? I could only afford one at the time
