Re: [RC] Safe??? - Barbara McCraryI believe CA has laws that state if you are 1) trespassing on someone's property and you are injured, it is NOT the property owner's fault, and 2) if you are recreating on someone's property and you are injured, it is NOT the property owner's fault.Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sisu West Ranch" <ranch@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Ridecamp" <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, January 17, 2008 9:55 AM Subject: Re: [RC] Safe??? In WI it got bad enough that the legislature enacted two laws. One limited the liability of equine professionals (as defined in the law an RM or even a person leading a trail ride is an equine professional.) The other limited the liability of persons who let someone on to their land for "recreational" activities. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
