Here are three horses that are/were doing good in their
late teens/early 20s:

Tevis 2006:
4th place, "AJ Ripsnorter" (aka Monsieur Joseph) age 19
(still going in 2008 - 9th at American River 50, currently at
1800+ miles)

Tevis 2006:
7th place, Phoenix Affair, age 19
(still going in 2008, 6th and 6th + BC at Wild West, currently
at 3500+ miles)

Tevis 2005:
7th place, Milarepa, age 18?
(retired the following year with 4000+ miles)
