It's not fun, even when "mild". I had compression fractures of T6 and T8 about four years ago. They gave me no restrictions, other than telling me I had no business being near a horse. I did buy a new horse, then later on two Icelandic ponies, and I still ride. Four years later, I still have soft tissue pain on both sides of my upper back opposite where the compression fractures were. I'd be glad to hear of anything you find that relieves that. I've considered acupuncture, but haven't made time to do it.
