RE: [RC] [RC] e-lyte recommendation - heidi

I have to ask...  Is there a reason why you feel that your horse needs e-lytes?  Or are you looking into getting e-lytes because that's what some endurance riders have told you to do?  If you are just getting started in the sport (which if memory serves, you posted not long ago about being a newbie, but forgive me if I've got you confused with someone else), give your horse a chance to LEARN to eat and drink at rides as you ride at moderate speeds, and to get fit and used to the stresses at rides, BEFORE you decide if he/she really needs lytes.  Many horses do just fine without them, and in general, they tend to be way overused in our sport.
