Re: [RC] OLD HORSES - desertrydr1My mare is 22 and as fit now as she was at 10, except she has arthritis in her front legs a bit, so I pay attention when she tells me she doesn't want to. She WANTS TO GO most of the time, but I don't do LDs on her anymore because she didn't ever learn to take care of herself. Has nothing to do with her age or arthritis or condition, just simply the fact that she will run herself to death if I let her.We went out Sunday and did about 15 miles at a decent pace. We got home I turned her out.
