I use ice boots (or cold water track bandages soaked with ice water from the melted ice in the icechest) for 20-30 min, then wrap with Sore No More Liniment over night.
Why? Mostly because my mentor taught me to do this, and I do what I am told by person.
Ice to reduce any heat build up Sore No More because it has arnica as an active ingredient which is a known anti-inflammatory.
