I agree, and while I don't have 1000's of miles, I don't consider myself to be a newbie. I used to ride LD in the "old days" - back when folks thought endurance horses had to be skinny to be competitive, and there was no LD program. They had 25 mile rides, but I don't think AERC kept track of the LD miles -- I know that none of the LD rides I did back then got recorded. I have also been on the other side -- I have helped out at the local rides for well over a decade (ok: two decades).Sure - I know all kinds, too.
