RE: [RC] wt and horse - Kitley, Carrie E Civ USAF AFSPC 30 MDSS/SGSLFAhahahaha! What a riot! I wish I could have seen that! I remember doing that on my horse as a kid. I don't think you could PAY me to do that now. My mare would likely have none of it either, and I'm certain I'd hit the sky. lol Carrie Kitley 30th Medical Group, Vandenberg AFB DMLSS?Database Sustainment Specialist (DSS) CACI?International Inc? www.caci.com dsn?276-1077, Comm (805) 606-1077 fax dsn?276-1179 <\_~ // \\ carrie.kitley@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx? -----Original Message----- From: Jean Miller [mailto:jeanmiller@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, July 08, 2008 9:10 AM To: Kitley, Carrie E Civ USAF AFSPC 30 MDSS/SGSLF Subject: Re: [RC] wt and horse just have fun. That is the name of the game. Drag a junior along with you if you can. Those darn kids always liven things up. I remember one time when I sponsored 3 juniors. We did a 25 competitive and were walking the last 2 miles in. All of sudden I looked up and there were DJ and Mikey (brothers) standing on their saddles as their horses walked along! I about fell off the horse from laughing. When we came into the finish, I conned those kids into standing up on the saddles as mom and the vets looked on!!! And my mare certainly seems to have no problems, especially the closer we get to the finish. If you have done your homework correctly (suspect you have), and if you ride YOUR ride, you should be just fine. Bay was 14 hands 1 in, maybe. With saddle I probably weighed in around 160 - 165, the little bugger did just fine on 50s including the one 100 I did with him. He always managed to have enough energy on the last loop to attempt to run away with me when he saw cows, pigs, geese, or whatever.
