RE: [RC] LD weird logic and future repercussions to those who start LD debate! :-) - Kitley, Carrie E Civ USAF AFSPC 30 MDSS/SGSLFMy point was taken completely wrong, or I probably said it wrong. My humblest apologies, I did not mean to insinuate that we should get same "benefits" as 50's or 100's just in all fairness a break on the fees if we're not considered "endurance" riders. Or allow us to accumulate some points like everyone else up and over the LD's. We are financing YOUR vets + expenses at 3+ vet checks per ride when we only ride for 1/2 day with one vet check, kapiche? And for the record, I didn't start this topic. No Roman Candles here! My town is on fire too! If we have to pay the same > fee> as those doing "endurance," then we should at least reap SOME benefit> for the effort. How's about if I pay $150 to do a 100 miler. I finish last at 4 AM. after saddling up at 5:30 AM. In the normal order that finishing awards are handed out I will probably get a XXL T-shirt that was the last one left after every 25 and 50 have gotten theirs. It will look exactly like the ones the 25 milers who paid $75, finished in 2 hours and loaded up their horses and went home got. I get no meal, I was on the trail. The top 10 25's probably got a cool top 10 or placement award and possibly a weight division award, and a meal. I get the T-shirt. Can I have a break on AERC fees under your logic? I'd like to make a motion that here on ridecamp the next person who starts the LD debate should be treated the same as someone who intentionally shoots a Roman Candle into dry brush in California. :-) Angie ____________________________________________________________ Inventors: Does your idea have potential for millions?
