You may be an "endurance rider" who simply has never done an "endurance ride."But you are still a dressage rider. In reality as I found out one time from my dressage instructor anyone can show up a ride a Grand Prix test. So I guess a rank beginner could call themselve a Grand Prix rider if they entered a Grand Prix class. Frankly this whole "what do these upstarts LDer's mean calling themselves "endurance riders" well how dare they - they are not endurance riders" get sort of old every three months. Not to mention the piling one of "well I have done an LD and I don't think there should be placement oh me oh my the sky is falling because there was LD placement." Quite frankly most of this discussion just appears to me to be down right rude. But hey I'm just a good ol' Southern boy we get along down here. We got people riding the "short race", the "long race" and if they have it the "all night race." It works and everybody's happy.
