Sure looks like a wise jockey who felt something "just wasn't right"
may well have prevented injury to a really great horse--but what a
heartbreaker!

Here are some great pics of Big Brown breaking from the gate showing how
is rear shoe probably became bent. It’s speculated that this was the
cause for him being pulled up in the race.
