Re: [RC] [So_Cal_Endurance] Decade team Recognition Updated - Trailrite
I like this idea alright but it still puts more credit on the rider than
the horse again. I would like to see this as the horses award for a ten
year and still going thing....is there something that is for just the horses
award? Or is there just two many horses out there doing ten years and
it looses something if it's done by multiple riders?
If a horse has been ridden for 10 years in endurance no matter who
owned it or rode it, that should be enough of an accomplishment in
itself.
I have two horses that would fall in this. But both my husband and I
have been riding these horses for over 12 years now but I've been riding one the
last few years. But my husband rode her for 9 years and I've been riding
her for 3-4 years now. Oh well, no award credit there...boo hoo.

Teams are defined as "These riders have ridden their own horse every year
in a 50 mile and up endurance ride for at least ten ride seasons." It's an
excellent goal recognizing longevity for the horses in our
sport.
