Re: [RC] [Consider This] Endurance riders told to clean up their act - Barbara McCraryI don't think anyone in the USA is complaining about dressing up for an International ride. Matching "uniforms" lend a sense of pride and are very important in such a case. The objections are coming from AERC riders at home who are worried that FEI will somehow be able to influence us all to spiff up for local rides. I simply do not picture this happening, especially since FEI doesn't have influence on how AERC conducts its local rides.Picture, if you will, American riders looking mismatched and overly casual in an International ride. It just won't do, considering the matching and sleek outfits other countries wear. I think those who compete on the International level can put up with uniforms on THE day. Believe me, uniforms lend a tremendous sense of pride. I remember in my youth, marching around the arena at the California State Fair in my 4-H uniform. Talk about pride!
