RE: [RC] [RC] cool back pad - Kitley, Carrie E Civ USAF AFSPC 30 MDSS/SGSLFI've never used a Coolback pad, and I don't have any problems with my Skito pad slipping, but I use the rubber mesh pad to keep my Skito from getting yucky (it was very expensive!) and it's just handy to have the extra non-slip security with a treeless saddle. It also helps to keep my mare's back a little cooler. But you made a good point about saddle fit in regards to slippage as well. I've had to try quite a few different tack products before finding the right fit for me AND my horse, saddle, etc. =) Carrie Kitley 30th Medical Group, Vandenberg AFB DMLSS?Database Sustainment Specialist (DSS) CACI?International Inc? www.caci.com dsn?276-1077, Comm (805) 606-1077 fax dsn?276-1179 <\_~ // \\ carrie.kitley@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx? -----Original Message----- From: Trailrite@xxxxxxx [mailto:Trailrite@xxxxxxx] Sent: Tuesday, June 17, 2008 10:24 AM To: Kitley, Carrie E Civ USAF AFSPC 30 MDSS/SGSLF; endurancerider@xxxxxxxxx; rogueroughriders1@xxxxxxxxx Cc: ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [RC] [RC] cool back pad My husband & I have never had a problem with the Coolback pads working back. I would make sure that the saddle isn't to tight in front or tilting down to much around the withers. This makes a pad scoot out in back. I sell a lot of these pads because they work so well with no problems like I'm hearing about now. So this was making me wonder about the saddles. I use it under my Skito. I think you can find them at Schneiders and Country Supply. I currently use this solution with my Specialized and a Woolback pad.
