Re: [RC] questions - Barbara McCraryJeffersLivestock.com or 1-800-533-3377. Ext. 376 will get you a veterinarian on site. You might ask one about using insecticide ear tags on horses. I've certainly seen people use them by braiding them into manes. And the time we used ear tags on our heifers, they did a great job. We used Y-Tex PYthon tags, 20 tags for $27.45My catalog has numerous insecticide ear tags for cattle. There is no listing for horses, either in this catalog or the Jeffers Equine catalog. There is also an information box that states: Flies are becoming resistant (in varying degrees) to all insecticide ear tags. I'd check for you, but it's already recycled. Kathy I went looking for ear tags this weekend - to no avail. Does anyone know a website I can order a few from, or does anyone have a couple they can sell me? For you math wizards, I need to know before I move my corral panels if it will be worth my efforts. I have eleven of the 12' panels and need to know what the final diameter of a round pen would be. I don't remember how to figure it out. thanks, denise and driffter
