RE: [RC] Married couples in endurance - Cheryl Charlamagne
I have to say I enjoyed the article also.. I started endurance in 2005, the year my husband went to Iraq. I had to have something to keep me busy while he was gone!! I also started buying horses while he was gone because he wasn't there to tell me no and even if he did, he couldn't do a darn thing about it!
When he came back he took some riding lessons in June of last year (49 and never been on a horse). He loved it!! WHAT!! Not only riding, but endurance!!! DOUBLE WHAT!!! He has since started conditioning rides and plans on doing his first LD at BSF this fall.
I told him if anything happened to me, he would have no problem finding a wife!! (but he shouldn't get any ideas!!)

I enjoyed the article too. My husband and I have been riding together for over 12 years now
I have also notice that not only women have problems with finding a husband, but also men have a problem finding a wife or girl friend that wants to enjoy this sport. Most of what I hear from guys is that most women these days don't want to get dirty, break a nail, and have NO room service. So Angie, make it "How to Choose the Perfect Spouse".
I've always thought that maybe someone should start a Match Making Forum site for singles in endurance...or at least a Love Column in TB or EN magazines. I have two Daughters (32 & 39) that are always looking for someone that is at least a little into horses.
