[RC] ride meals - peanut2@xxxxxxxWell, I have to admit I love rides that provide the meals. I hate cooking and having to plan, buy and prepare food while traveling. I don't have LQ trailer and likely never will. Though I do have a campstove and can make do if necessary. To me that is what has made this sport so affordable over the past years. For the entry fee, I get to ride, camp and get fed most meals. And I get to socialize during the meals which I enjoy. How much per person is not feeding people really going to save on an entry fee? And how much will I in turn end up spending eating out or buying food to bring with me? Eating is going to cost me either way and it's extra bother if I have to bring and prepare my own. Now from a ride managers point of view (I've never managed a ride)....... I can't even imagine trying to feed a large group of people! I admit it's not something I would want to tackle and I am always impressed at how well fed I am at most rides.
