While I was trying to get my ride sanctioned and to hold a
100 (the original idea) I was going to have the 100 with the smallest ride
entry - $75, 50 mile - $90, 25 - $80.
I had hoped the small entry would encourage those riders who
have been thinking about moving up to do just that and build our 100 mile rider
base. My thought was that this was a simple way to encourage growth in the
distance. I have seen some CA 100’s have ride entries of $200 plus
(non-FEI), this would put it out of my range given the cost of getting there
and the high entry fee.
