Re: [RC] Ride entry prices - Don HustonHello Steph,I think the entry fees have been fine. Like Kim Fuess said, it's the total cost of the ride that matters. My last ride was a 700mi round trip in a 7mpg motor home so the gas cost was over $400 for a 2day ride. I absolutely would not have done that for a one day ride. I like having the meals, it makes for an enjoyable, friendly time. The above mentioned 2day ride had a total cost of approx $700 with entry, meals, gas, shoeing and beer. To eliminate the meals and save $30-40 would be insignificant and more like "cutting off my nose to spite my face" especially since my new endurance motto is "To Eat Is To Win"! Plus I would have had to do more work as in cook and cleanup...ugh. Muliday rides and car pooling might be a better solution to lower total ride cost.
