I was diagnosed with a mild case of sclerosis (curvature of the spine) when I was in junior high. In the end they did not put me in a brace, only because they decided I had already nearly reached my adult height. What I did not realize until college, which was when a doctor there pointed it out to me by laying me flat & measuring my leg lengths, was that one leg was 1" shorter than the other. So now I use an "infinitely adjustable" type buckle or punch holes in the stirrup leathers to achieve the same amount of pressure from both legs. good info kath and all I found that i feel this way on both my arabian and thoroughbred mare .. I ride the TB in a Kanavy saddle, btw and found that when I did adjust the left stirrup length... it was better. The only horse I dont have this "caddywumpus " feeling is my Quarter horse? So far the score appears to be 2-1 in favor of NOT adjusting the length :) ? thanx cid and gazi in the continuing quest for focus, balance and discovery GP at the Fish Creek House gp@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Our experiences with horses can guide us thru the inner landscape of ourselves.... but only if we are willing to take up the reins http://www.fishcreekhouse.com Making Montana Memories... =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
