Wow Dawn, I am really impressed! I have done the American River Ride several times, and I have always wished I had a horse I trusted enough so that I could keep MY OWN eyes closed through that stretch! I can't imagine riding a blind horse up those granite steps and along that drop-off above the lake. 2 years ago going through that area my normally sure-footed, athletic mare fell down and got all skinned up - and there's nothing wrong with her vision! (We finished the ride sound though!)
