Merri is banned from going to India because despite the fabulous  
setting of Rajasthan and the fabulous opportunity of endurance riding  
those Marwari horses, it would be near impossible to drag her out of  
the myriad cheap restaurants with cheap, huge helpings of fantastic  
Indian food, and she would quickly get too fat and heavy to ride a  
horse.
