I carry a basic Leatherman and have found it to come in handy on numerous occasions. When I ride alone, it is on the waist strap of my water bottle holder/fanny pack so I can get to it easily.
Mine is the smallest basic unit. It has just a few things, but the sharp knife, screw driver, and pliers have been the only ones I have used to date.

My Gerber multi-took is HEAVY. Does anyone have any suggestions for a light weight but quality multi-tool? I don't need a corkscrew, etc, but would like to have a knife blade, scissor, screwdriver, etc. A wire cutter would be nice too, but it seems that those are usually only on the heavier ones. I carry a serated EMT spyderco knife so don't need a super knife in the multi-tool. > > Kristi iluvdez at yahoo dot com > > > ____________________________________________________________________________________ > Be a better friend, newshound, and > know-it-all with Yahoo!
