[RC] reducing ride costs - Lynn WhiteWithout volunteers, it is impossible to put on rides to begin with. I think riders that volunteer should be rewarded with reduced fees. I know some RM?s that do this. If you are a ride manager you get a break. If you make awards you get a break. If you help out at another ride you get a break. If you are an official of AERC or a local club you get a break. Of course breaks on ride fees should be proportionate with effort, but it?s an incentive. This fosters people to get out and do more for the sport. Of course, we will always have riders that NEVER help and walk away with all the points and awards, but oh well. They?ll just pay more in entry fees to do rides. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!
