[RC] Bekki Crippen - rides2farI'll try not to wear out ridecamp on this, but since several have asked: Bekki had her surgery Friday. They did a double mastectomy and did find some cancer in her lymph nodes. They're doing tests and will decide to what extent it was there soon. Bekki came through with FLYING colors. I went by to see her today and she was sitting up looking absolutely perky. She got her hair cut short and it's cute...and honestly, getting rid of those two lumps we grow when we're 12 is *very* slenderizing. >eg< She was crocheting dish cloths which she gives as gifts to people. On the chair facing her they had displayed the Hog Scramble turquoise tie-die ride T-shirt that Dawn Carrie had sent her and propped up on the chair was a card promising a free entry to the ride if she gets down to Texas. She made sure I read that. She's still talking about the Bekki Crippen Color Coordinated Challenge. I'm just hoping she will be able to come to the ride to judge it. Ya'll be getting your horse's colors together. It's going to be cut-throat! Thanks to everyone. Her parents can't even mention all the e-mails you guys sent without tearing up.
