[RC] Indiana - michelleI grew up in North Eastern Indiana. LaGrange to be exact. (Amish country, lots of horses) We rode in neighbors fields and woods and I lived on a dirt road. There were quite a few dirt roads to ride on. Unfortunately a lot of them now are paved. I'm not sure about Michigan. But I know in Indiana, that the Hoosier National Forest is a great place to ride. There is an endurance ride near Ft. Wayne Indiana. Salomonie Sizzler. I haven't been to it but there must be a good place for riding/conditioning there. I used to ride in the Mongo Fish and Wildlife refuge. It's illegal to ride there. So I had to be sneaky about it. But it was right at my back door, how could I resist? It was wonderful riding. I don't know why Indiana doesn't allow riding on their Fish and Wildlife Refuges. I'm not sure about Gary. I've been thru there and it's very urban and kind of scary in parts. Southern Indiana has lots of great riding. And don't forget about Clark state forest where the 2008 AERC national championships are going to be held. There are some great trails and great folks that live there!
