[RC] Specialized Saddle - melanie . o - Tx Trigger

I've always thought I wanted one of these because they sound so great and
people swear by them. Then I tried one out. It was lightweight, well-made,
fit well, my legs hung nicely, etc. But after I sat in that saddle for more
than an hour my butt was killing me! It was hard as a rock. <<<

The great thing about our sport is that we have so many choices of tack.
Find what works for you and your horse. Specialized has many, many different
models, options etc. to hopefully be able to fit any individuals needs. I
tried an Enduro light model, and did not like it for "me", but others love
it. I have an International with a "trail seat" which is deeper, and the
company states many distance riders may not like it, because it is deeper,
but I love the feel and security. I like the saddle makes who have come up
with saddles that you can adjust the position as to where to hang the
stirrups, as not all of us like them in the same "spot". Many like them back
a tad, more dressage like, and I have my Specialized set up in the forward
position, which puts me in the saddle in a position best for my knees and
hips. (and balance)

Anyway, if anyone wants more specific questions on the Specialized Saddles,
we have a yahoo group set up.
