Re: [RC] heavy ramp - Truman Prevatt

Normally ramps come with springs on the mounting rod that coil when the ramp is down. The make it easier to lift. Either you may not have these springs - look and see - or if you do they may be weak (how old is the trailer). In any case you should be able to replace or add springs.

Worse case is the ramp bolts on the the trailer so you could replace the ramp with a new one.

Thanks everyone for you input on low trailer/high truck syndrome! Turns out to be a pretty easy fix. Next question. The trailer has a ramp which is way to heavy for me to be lifting everytime I go anywhere with my horse...has anyone had a lift assist device installed on their trailer? What are the best kinds? Thanks! Sandy
