A group of us from our boarding stable went riding into the neighboring park which has a leash law.  In fact we were riding in the "no dogs allowed" part of the park when we encountered two loose pitbulls.  I like pits, but the owner was totally irresponsible in letting them loose and charging at our horses.  It caused quite a stir with the horses, but Beau had a pit underneath him - he just calmly lifted a hind leg and pushed it down on the pits head.  I yelled at the guy to get his dogs and gave him hell, and reported him to the park rangers.

 

Beau was raised with loose dogs on the property, but in our City lives we have woosy horses and riders; and dogs that aren't used to livestock and will charge them....

I sorta assumed she'd get used to the idea of dogs,
but it's just her dogs that she's comfortable with.
