[RC] Mules - mrsd


Finished Tevis in 1974 and talked to Eva after she won BC.  She said that her
ride was wonderful except for Hugo following a pack train that she came onto
where the Pacific Crest Trail turned  off the Tevis trail.  Took quite a
discussion with Hugo to get him to leave the train.

Rode at Bridgeport Calif. with a Molly mule who did the big trip (end over end)
while at the trot.  Not once but twice.  Rider did not attempt to catch her on
the way down.  Think he sold her to a lady who only walked.

Eva had another Mule that she used on Tevis.  He quit while going down the Fire
Break on  the Calif. Loop.   Wouldn't go down the trail or back up to Forest
Hill.
