Re: [RC] Trainer woes - rides2far@xxxxxxxxScout is half arab, half appendix Qh and his grandsire was Noholme II -- An Austrailian racehorse of the year...ways back. He is 16 hands, 1200 lbs maybe? I wanted like 30 rides of 1/2 hour, then I would feel comfortable .(green broke my spooky," everything will kill me "mare) and my gelding enough to show him some, and ride alone for 3 years on trails, and jump, cross water,go past spooky stuff). "boy is this horse disrespectful". My husband wants him to be his trail horse....but I could likely end up with him as a backup horse... arrrrrrggggghhhhh!!!!!!!!!! I am so crazy with this.......... Lauri, I used to be an "Equine Matchmaker".Total honesty here. If I owned that horse and you tried to buy him from me I wouldn't sell him to you for yours or the horse's sakes. You're not doing him any favors by loving him but not being able to handle him and he's probably going to hurt you. Chances are your husband will never get on his back. Why would he? There's some drunk broke horses in Alabama that you an buy ready made. There's some horse people out there who could take your horse and ride the rough edges off of him but chances are it's not you two. Trainers can't work miracles. 90 days is nothing in the course of a horse's life, and to some extent horses are what they're gonna be from the start. Kaboot never made a kid horse no matter how many years and miles he went. It makes me laugh to imagine if someone had just tried to pay a trainer until he was something they could handle. Best plan...buy something that is what you need NOW. Angie, feeling rather frank today. _____________________________________________________________ Beauty Product Reviews Read Unbiased Beauty Product Reviews and Join Our Product Review Team! http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL2121/fc/JKFkuJi7MiUKmP41PAmqJJILk8C5PfFSeOKFZO5k7lTGvgftOukiG8/ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
