Thank you to everyone who responded to me privately. My mother will not school her horse, she just wants to get on and ride. He has gotten slightly worse every winter because of not being ridden much - mom is not a cold weather rider! I have ordered different stuff, one with the valarian root, one with tritophan, and one just magnesium supplement. I have my own horses to school, so mom will just have to deal with her horse her way. Believe me, she will do what she wants and sometimes will do the opposite of what I suggest just because I'm the daughter and I suggested it!! So the best option here, is for her to use some calming paste for the spring rides. She get lacksadasical and if you give a horse an inch, it will take a mile and expect the mile next time. Thanks again for all who responded to me.
