If I had an LQ with holding tanks, I would get skid
plates welded on under it, to protect the tanks and plumbing. Well worth the
investment in my book. But then I have a tendency to go to places to ride that
have less than perfect camping areas, and one never knows what will be out
there, ready to punch a hole in the tank, or rip off the plumbing. I have
skid plates added to my bumper pull to protect the back end from dragging, as
the clearance is pretty low.
